Colaboration with the IQFR

Luciana Luque is doing an internship at the Instituto de Química-Física Rocasolano.

On March 17 Luciana traveled to Madrid, Spain, to work in collaboration with Dr. Enrique Lomba at the Instituto de Química Física Rocasolano. The aim of this collaboration is to optimise the software developed in the context of her postdoctoral project: “Study of immunotherapies applied to tumoral microenvironments by a multiagent based model”.

Given the stochastic nature of the system, we need to fully sample the parameter space and calibrate the model against experimental control systems in order to get realistic results. The immediate aim of this project will be to improve the recently developed model, adapted to high performance computing capabilities, in order to access time and space scales so far out of reach.

Luciana’s internship is part of the “CONIN: Effects on confinement on inhomogeneous systems” (H2020-MSCA-RISE-2016) project, funded by the European Commission and countersigned by the National University of La Plata.
